For over 30 years, Safir from Tentipi® has proven it can be trusted. Now we launch Safir eco – our versatile tent Safir with a new, innovative and sustainable fabric. New product spring 2022.
The new eco fabric is made from a unique blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester and hemp, which has many fabulous properties. It benefits from one of the strongest natural fibres found in nature, and has the same properties as cotton when it comes to breathability and moisture regulation, but uses much less water during the production process, resulting in a lower carbon footprint.
Safir eco is a tent for people who love and care for nature, constructed with clever design details. It is a tent you can rely on in the toughest of climates, in storm-force gales or blazing heat. From ice fields to glaciers. Perfect for extreme expeditions, challenging trekking and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Safir eco is so durable, it can last for generations.
For us “eco” means responsibility, which is why we have chosen not to dye the tent canvas. Keeping the natural off-white colour of the canvas means no harmful bleaching or fabric dye and reduces the carbon footprint.
Construction
Three large air intakes, each with a fitted mosquito net, are a standard feature. The door has a mosquito net and is fitted with extra toggles should there be an emergency. Our patented In-Tent Vent™ system is a clever detail which allows you to adjust the ventilator cap, and thereby the temperature inside the tent, without leaving your sleeping bag. The reinforced edging and other details are there to provide the best possible strength in those situations when tents often break. This gives you peace of mind and increases the lifespan of your investment.

FABRIC
Breathable - Environmex Pro Safir Eco
Safir eco; made from a unique blend of hemp, organic cotton and recycled polyester. The results of testing in harsh conditions demonstrate exclusive features; robust strength, highly UV resistant, excellent stability and high water-repellent properties. The combination of these features produces a well-ventilated and premium “indoor” climate. 100 percent eco.

Hemp is known as one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. It has the same breathable and moisture regulating properties as cotton, but requires very little water for growth or during the production process. The plant has natural antibacterial characteristics so there is no need for pesticides or other harsh chemicals. Hemp produces a high harvest per square metre. The hemp plant benefits from a deep root system which binds the soil and leaves it in excellent condition for any succeeding crop.
